And it is a fine beer for that purpose. Light-bodied, but not watery, this brew has a clear amber color that would look not bad at all in a mug carried by a blond German bar maid.
It’s got a head that will foam over the top of the mug while pumping out a pleasingly hoppy, beer-like smell. The kind of beer that gets sloshed around in bars and beer halls and leaves that certain scent to the place after settling into the wood of the tables, walls, and floors.
The flavor is floral, but a bit spicy, kind of like you’d like the bar maid to be when she’s bringing it out to you.
Overall a fine beer from the folks at Metropolitan.
