Let me take this moment and introduce myself. My name is Franz Mueller and I am a professional beer drinker. I’m not the professional beer drinker that most college kids think they are or dream to be. My job actually requires me to be the best beer taster I can be. I am a lab geek who is responsible for the quality of beer. One of the tests done in quality is sensory evaluation. For those of you non-lab geeks, sensory evaluation equals drink beer (what a job, huh?). So let’s get on to the beer of the hour.

Wisconsin Amber is a beer that you can go to a bar and order all night long and it still tastes as good as the first one. It’s not heavy on the malt flavor, which can leave you full after a couple, but it’s not like a light beer that leaves you unfulfilled. The color is a perfect example of what the color amber should look like. I recently had the opportunity to taste this brand in a can. Yours truly is not a huge fan of drinking beer in a can but I’ll have to say this was not all that bad. It imparted the same sweet aroma and taste as it did in the bottle. Overall this is a beer that I will keep in my refrigerator on a regular basis.
