If you're afraid to jump into the world of microbrews, start with Leinenkugel's. They produce good solid beers that aren't overly complex, but they're a hell of a lot better than that swillwater called Budweiser.Leinie's Sunset Wheat is a perfect example. It's a sunny American wheat with a good cloudy--but not overly so--appearance that is a touch darker than many wheats. It also doesn't have the typical banana notes; rather, it has a slight citrus character. The smooth, creamy aroma perfectly mirrors the smooth, creamy taste. A slight bite on the finish nicely rounds out this refreshing brew.
Next time you're looking for a good wheat beer that doesn't taste really fruity, grab a Sunset Wheat. You won't be sorry.
